A minimum of 10 Cuban migrants have been killed and 17 others have been injured when the truck they have been touring in overturned in southern Mexico on Sunday, Mexican authorities stated.
The truck was “irregularly” transporting 27 Cuban nationals on the Pijijiapan-Tonalá freeway within the southern state of Chiapas when the accident occurred, Mexico’s Nationwide Migration Institute (INM) stated in an announcement.
Officers stated preliminary stories advised the motive force was rushing and misplaced management of the automobile, fleeing the scene after it overturned.
The ten victims have been girls, together with a minor, authorities stated. All injured persons are being handled in hospital.
